The Georgia Aquarium, located on the Coca-Cola complex in downtown Atlanta, is the largest in the world. This 1,040,000-sf facility occupies eight acres of a nine acre site and holds approximately 8 million gallons of fresh and salt water. Visitors are able to view more than 100,000 aquatic animals, representing approximately 500 species from all around the world.

In addition to the exhibits, the aquarium houses a 16,400-sf ballroom that accommodates seating for 1,100 dinner guests, or more than 1,600 for a reception. To serve the aquariums patrons, there is an 1,800-car parking deck and a food court with a variety of food and drinks to satisfy every guest's needs. Also, there is an educational loop that accounts for approximately 25% of the building to accommodate school field trips and provide an uninterrupted learning environment.

One of the most exciting features of the aquarium is its 4-D theater. This 247 seat theater provides guests an enchanting tour under the sea and incorporates the audience into its presentation, thus creating a 4D experiencs.
